KCS Research Continuum

The KCS ELA PLC comprised of Dave Luukkenon, Lisa Herman, Jessica Ross, and Kim Froese built a continuum of research skills that would help ALL teachers in ALL subject areas.

This document suggests what research and essay writing skills students should be able to perform  at each grade level. These should be taught and practiced in ELA, but become more meaningful when other teachers expect the same standard of information and skill. 

It is important that ALL teachers take the time to review the expectations with students, especially if students are being expected to complete research or write an essay early in the semester.
