Project Planning PBL from Kenaston School

Project Planning PBL from Kenaston School

Step 1: Each homeroom teacher will divide outcomes into 1-month long chunks of time.

Projects must:

—     be cross-curricular

—     be project based/problem based/ or include design thinking

—     use transfer of responsibility

Step 2: Within the grade groupings 1-2, 3-6, and 7-8 teachers, we can decide what projects we want to teach

Step 3: All teachers 1-8 will meet and trade projects they would like to give up

Step 4: Look at ELA Choice Boards and select what listening, viewing, representing, and writing fit into your project (cross them off choice board masters attached to the package)

Step 5: Look at Art Choice Boards and select any that you would like to include in your project (cross them off choice board masters attached to the package)

**Consider the transfer of responsibility with step 4 and 5. Maybe you will plan the first few projects and then you can release the responsibility onto the students, as they are ready to make choices and select ones that fit.
