Follow Their Voices Readiness IC Map

The Ministry of Education’s Priority Action Team branch and members of the Following Their Voices (FTV) team, along with feedback from the education sector, have developed the FTV GPILSEO Readiness Innovation Configuration Maps (Readiness IC Maps) tool to prepare schools for successful implementation and provide ongoing sustainability and support for schools.

The Readiness IC Maps focus on actions and practices to help school-wide efforts to increase Métis, First Nations and Inuit student achievement. They provide clear, specific and shared descriptions of what a new initiative or practice should look like. Readiness IC Maps:

  • serve as a tool to map out an innovation;
  • identify where you are and where you want to go;
  • help identify what the work looks like when implemented;
  • unpack each component of the innovation;
  • support the collective responsibility; and,
  • help maintain a clear focus using data to inform decisions and practice.

The intended audience for the document is education organization and school division leads, administrators and classroom teachers.
