Self-Directed Time

In this resource, you can find three examples of Kenaston School's grades 1-9 Self-Directed Time sheets. It is set up in a Must Do, May Do, You Pick format. Each sheet will look different as it is based on where the student is at on the transfer or responsibility, what self-regulation skills they have, and what skills they must work on. You will find a blank template as well.

We have also created Self-Directed Time Learning Options/Lists for elementary and middle years to help students when on "You Pick".

During Self-Directed Time, the students use these resources to help guide what they need to work on during this time. The teacher will fill in the Must Do section based on skills they need or outcomes they need to work on. Once the students have completed any catch up (things they are behind in) and must dos for the day, they can proceed to the may do/you pick section. Self-Directed Time is a great time to fill in gaps and enrich learning for students.
