Review:

Here is our SMART Goal from September.

By May 19, 2020, we will have:

  • researched some rural and Saskatchewan IndEP type schools,
  • made contacts,
  • shared our current IndEP interests and concerns,
  • prioritized our focus,
  • planned and carried out a sharing trip to at least one IndEP style school (Maverick) and possibily one other based on our group focus,
  • evaluated our individual programs,
  • and have one new focus to plan/or improve our Sunwest program.

For our last meeting (May 19, 2020, we will see if we can speak to decision makers in Sunwest such as Carole Butcher (our Superintendent), the new Director, and possibly Board Member(s) to inform and advise on the IndEP Program based on our findings and why we believe our  programs are necessary.

We will also consider how we will be able to better communicate our mental wellness focus and necessary role (our assumption) through our annual forms to Board Members and Sunwest School Division.

On September 27, we traveled to Swift Current and visited the Maverick School and principal, Jayne Nicholson.

On October 15, we met online and discussed what we were doing.  Notes posted in discussion called Tuesday, Oct. 17.  Brief version is that we were looking at Control Theory and Art Grants.

On March 9, we will need to share where we have been individually, check out our SMART goal to see what else we want done this year, and prepare ourselves for our final meeting on May 19th.
