Beginning Reading Instruction (BRI)/Advanced Reading Instruction (ARI) is a highly researched, and simple reading program that helps children learn to decode.

A teaching guide, along with the three sets of books, and the booster set (extra practice) are all you need to begin teaching a child to read. Additional materials, such as tests to make sure a child has mastered the skills after they complete each set, and ways to keep track of progress are included.

Each book set offers a drop down menu featuring the book, suggestions for looking through and discussing the book and story questions.

Half-Pint Kids is a set of materials written by a teacher for teachers. Besides colorfully illustrated decodable stories, you will find links to Teaching Guides, Activity Pages and Literacy Centers.

LitLab is an early reading platform where educators and students can use AI to generate custom (personalized) decodable content. It's specifically designed to accelerate decoding & fluency growth. In addition to the custom decodables, teachers can select from 1000+ pre-made authentic digital decodables.

As students proceed through the lessons, more story groups are available for reading aloud. In the first story groups, the language is quite controlled. In later story groups, after students have mastered a large percentage of the phonics patterns of English, the language increasingly resembles the language of ordinary texts the student will see at school or in the library.
