Grade 7/8/9 Learning At Home Resources
These resources are intended to support teachers in providing at-home learning experiences for their students. They may also be helpful for in-class planning. This set of resources will be updated and expanded as further development occurs. Files are uploaded in both an editable Microsoft Word format to enable customization to suit individual needs, and a PDF form. Areas of learning covered include reading, writing, movement, creativity, mathematics, and social studies/science. There is a combination of prescribed activities and choice board options.
Week 1
Summary
Focuses in Set #1 include reading choices centered around viewing/reading/responding to a variety of texts, constructing meaning, and comprehending visual texts, daily movement activities, math choice boards in the area of numeracy at each grade level, choices in creative writing, visual art and dance, science choice boards centered around ecosystems, water systems, and the universe, and social studies choice boards centered around resources and wealth at each grade level.

Summary
Focuses in Set #2 include writing in response to viewing a film, movement challenges, math problems of the day, visual art and dance, and science and social studies vocabulary puzzles in the areas of ecosystems, water systems, the universe, and resources and wealth.

Summary
Focuses in Set #3 include a reading and writing project based on a song, daily movement activities, a range of creative activities, math choice boards in the area of Space and Shape at each grade level, science choice boards centered around heat and temperature, forces/fluids/density, and electricity, and social studies choice boards centered around Interactions and Interdependence at each grade level.

Focuses in Set #4 include an Outdoor Adventure Inquiry Project, daily movement activities, a range of creative activities, math skill practice activities in the area of Shape and Space, science vocabulary puzzles centered around heat and temperature, forces/fluids/density, and electricity, and social studies vocabulary puzzles centered around Interactions and Interdependence.
