The following is a document on hazards of electric shock in the workplace.

This file contains an extensive alphabetical glossary of welding terms. There is one document per letter of the alphabet, as well as one comprehensive document intended to be a classroom resource.

The use of welding products and equipment in the welding process causes emission of fumes. Many, if not most, of these fumes contain manganese. A small amount of manganese is necessary for the human body to remain healthy. However, too much manganese can cause serious medical problems.

These two documents explain, in detail, the signs and symptoms of the exposure of too much manganese in welding. The toxicity of manganese causes a progressive condition, referred to as Manganism (also known as manganese poisoning, maganese-induced parkinsonism, and manganese intoxication).

The following is a pocket risk assessment for students to fill out before doing a task that helps establish the possible hazards, solutions, etc.

This document offers an example of a peer assessment that could be used for a PBL project.

We intend to create a winter garden and landscape the garden patch on the east side of the school. The landscaping will help make the school look more inviting and create a more welcoming atmosphere that persuades people to come into our school! The following are the powerpoints and outlines we used to do this.

To give students an aid to help them track their food intake and track their exercise.

MyFitnessPal is a website ( www.myfitnesspal.com ) that helps people count their calories by entering it into an online diary, as well as keep track of their exercise. • Exercise Tracker: MyFitnessPal has more than 350 exercise stored in its database, and it shows how much each person burns during each activity, based on their specific height, weight, and gender. It includes most cardio and strength training workouts, as well as yoga and Pilates. • The app’s calorie counter is basically an online diary of each MyFitnessPal member’s intake. The counter allows members to set daily goals, and the app can add multiple foods at once. It also automatically stores food and meals that members eat often, which makes them easy to find when they eat them again and need to log them. • MyFitnessPal is not a one-size-fits-all app. Personal diet profiles can be changed to fit a person’s specific needs, whether they are on a strict diet or have certain recommendations from their doctor or dietitian. The program calculates caloric need based on height, weight, gender, and lifestyle.

LessonIntroduction
-students will be handed out a review sheet on measuring angles, perpendicular lines, parallel lines and angle bisectors. (10 mins)

Body
-Students will be instructed to use popsicle sticks and marshmallows to construct a building. They are to ensure that some walls will be perpendicular to each other as well as parallel along with the roof. An expectation is that the building will be symmetrical and all angles on each side will be equal to the other side. (30 mins)

There are many partners who play significant roles in educating children. Parents are the first teacher of their child, and theirs is a crucial role in the education of their children.
Conferences are the formal framework that parents and teachers can use to learn together how to provide the best possible support system for the child’s learning.
While many schools still use the standard fifteen minute conference format in which a teacher will see parents individually over the course of an afternoon or evening, in recent years, the traditional meeting has been challenged by two alternative conference formats: the three way conference and the student led conference.

Science Background:
• The covered flames go out because the trapped air is used up
• The fire warms the trapped air causing it to expand and be pushed out of the jar
• When the fire goes out the air cools which causes the trapped air to contract creating a partial vacuum in the jar
• The jar and the container are forced together allowing you to lift the whole system.

In this episode, Sabrina talks to us about matter and particles and that all matter is made up of particles. Also, she shows us how matter can change states from a solid to a liquid, a liquid to a gas, a gas to a solid, or a liquid to a solid.

Patient Problem Solving is a method of solving problems that you don't
already know how to solve. You are required to ask questions in order to
even start solving the problem. Sometimes those questions are asked of the
teacher, sometimes other students, and sometimes Google. For example,
students are asked to use a ticker tape timer to calculate their speed. First of
all students (and maybe you as the teacher) need to figure out what a ticker
tape timer does. There are a variety of ways to solve these problems, and
creativity will help them get to an answer.

The purpose of this assessment is to help schools prepare to implement Personalized electronic Blended Learning PeBL.  This assessment can be completed by the School Leadership Team (SLT) and school learning coach. It is recommended that each member complete Section A independently before beginning the team discussion.In reviewing each section:1.      Answer each question by checking off “Yes” or “No”. 2.      If you are unsure of an answer or feel that your team would be mixed on the item, then circle “No” as it indicates a potential vulnerability that must be revisited. 3.      After completing the checklist, proceed to Section B to learn more about key indicators associated with PeBL readiness. 4.      After your review of Section B, proceed to Section C to develop an action plan to address any early concerns and begin PeBL Planning.
