Christianity from Judaism to Constantine: Crash Course World History #11
Rating

In which John Green teaches you about the fall of the Roman Empire, which happened considerably later than you may have been told. While the Western Roman Empire fell to barbarians in 476 CE, the Byzantines in Constantinople continued the Eastern Empire nicely, calling themselves Romans for a further 1000 years. Find out what Justinian and the rest of the Byzantine emperors were up to over there, and how the Roman Empire dragged out its famous Decline well into medieval times. In addition to all this, you'll learn about ancient sports riots and hipster barbarians, too.

Educational Resources to Teach Your Students about Christmas

The Christmas season is a wonderful time to expose your young students to traditions in other cultures. While it is a religious holiday, it also embodies many cultural customs. This is a wonderful opportunity to expose your students to how other people celebrate. And of course putting a picture Santa or presents on any worksheet or activity helps children get excited and engaged. That's where a handy list of printables and clip art can become extremely useful.

Our list of resources also includes songs, a variety of lesson plans, worksheets and a complete list of teacher resources. This year, help your children embrace the true meaning of Christmas. Teach them about tradition, expose them to a variety of cultures, and use the holiday to make all your lessons fun.

To increase students' awareness of possible invisible pollutants in drinking water sources, students perform an exciting lab requiring them to think about how solutions and mixtures exist even in unsuspecting places such as ink. They use alcohol and chromatography paper to separate the components of black and colored marker ink. Students witness first-hand how components of a solution can be separated, even when those individual components are not visible in solution.
