The following inventory or assessment will help you determine your school's readiness to adopt and adapt to the PeBL philosophy. School Leadership, Wellness, Programming, Curriculum & Instructional Strategies and Assessment are considered.
The purpose of this assessment is to help schools prepare to implement Personalized electronic Blended Learning PeBL. This assessment can be completed by the School Leadership Team (SLT) and school learning coach. It is recommended that each member complete Section A independently before beginning the team discussion. In reviewing each section:1. Answer each question by checking off “Yes” or “No”. 2. If you are unsure of an answer or feel that your team would be mixed on the item, then circle “No” as it indicates a potential vulnerability that must be revisited. 3. After completing the checklist, proceed to Section B to learn more about key indicators associated with PeBL readiness. 4. After your review of Section B, proceed to Section C to develop an action plan to address any early concerns and begin PeBL Planning.
While meeting with your PeBL Mentor, use the following to reflect on where you are at and areas for potential growth. Your PeBL Mentor is here to support you with ideas for moving throughout the I-do We-do You-do process, provide you with resources and/or access to other subject-alike mentors, co-plan and co-teach. You may move back and forth between these areas (as you should) based on student need and opportunity, so it is not an either/or, but rather a reflection on whether you are providing all three levels at various times.

Answers to frequently asked questions such as: "How will a teacher personalize learning for every single student?"
There is also a link to download "Dispelling the Myths: Frequently Asked Questions About Competency-Based Education."
This resource has 24 considerations when implementing and demonstrating growth with personalized learning in your school. A checklist for those beginning with personalized learning is provided, as well as how to progress to deeper levels of personalization using the transfer of responsibility within classrooms and schools. PeBL mentors can use this information to guide their work within the school and specific classrooms to help ensure that everyone continues to grow and develop and deepen their level to have students personalize their own learning.

o Place: Students will be able to work where they work best, providing they show evidence of self-regulation

Personlized Pathways is a graphic to support the DLC in providing a learning path that best fits our students and their families.
Shapes and Space Example Playlist for Grade 4 Math.
This year my major plan for integrating critical thinking and collaboration included a major classroom change. I was rearranged my classroom into pods and I started presenting my lessons in a flipped form.
The pods and flipped classroom provided an opportunity for critical thinking and collaboration. The students were to watch the videos and write down any questions they had on the material. They then met up as a group to go over the material. I found the students would have impressive conversations on the material. They then also worked in their pods to complete the daily practice. I found it was great for the students to be able to work together through problems and struggles. I was constantly happy to hear the students offer their own explanations to each other.
Use these posters in your classroom. Add student names to their learning style. This way people can be aware of how others learn best and use that when doing group work.
