The purpose of the Mathematics Word Wall is to identify words and phrases
that students need to understand and use so as to make good progress in
mathematics. Mathematical language is crucial to children's development of
thinking. If students do not have the vocabulary to talk about math
concepts and skills, they cannot make progress in understanding these areas
of mathematical knowledge. They need to be familiar with mathematical
vocabulary and mathematical terms to understand written and spoken
instructions.
A structured approach to the teaching and learning of mathematical
vocabulary is essential if students are to begin using the correct
mathematical terminology.

Work Place and Apprenticeship Math 30- What Bank To Use When Starting A Small Business

In this lesson student will be developing an idea for a possible small business that they would like to start and run. Once they have developed an idea for a business they will have to research what services different financial institutions offered in their area, or the province. Once they have finished seeing what services are out there, students will then have to decide what institution they would like to use, and determine what requirements they need to meet from the bank. Depending on how much time you would like to spend on this you could have students even come up with a loan proposal and a business plan as well. This can be done in partners or the students can work on the alone as well.

Students who have social learning challenges benefit from increasing their ability to “read others”, use proper self-control or problem solve in social situations. The Zones of Regulation program uses social thinking, visual supports and self-management in teaching students how to consciously regulate their behaviors and solve social problems.
As well, many other literary resources have been incorporated with the “Zones” program to facilitate an appropriate social skills program.

This resources was developed at Eston school.
