Contour tips for allll the face shapes
Rating
0.0 stars

I wanted to revisit contouring for all the different face shapes out there. I'm trying to simplify it as much as possible, but I DO think these tips should work for every face shape whether you have a wide face, narrow face, long chin, large forehead, etc. Remember to start with the overall shape and then refine by section

Crowded Out: The Story of Overtourism
Rating
0.0 stars

A powerful short documentary exploring Overtourism, featuring interviews with local residents and global experts.

Overtourism occurs when there are too many visitors to a particular destination. When rent prices push out local tenants to make way for holiday rentals, when narrow roads become jammed with tourist vehicles, when tourists cannot view landmarks because of the crowds – these are all signs of overtourism.

And it is the backlash from local residents that has made overtourism news. Cities such as Barcelona, Venice and Dubrovnik, and places once thought of as remote such as Iceland and Skye have suffered firsthand, and the protests by local residents have spread.

There has been decades of virtually uncontrolled growth, and it has crossed a threshold: in many destinations, tourism now demonstrably creates more problems than benefits.

Culinary Saskatchewan | Farm to Table Dining with Odla and Farm One Forty
Rating
0.0 stars

Arlie LaRoche was born and raised on a Saskatchewan farm. When Arlie moved to the city, she realized that she had taken for granted that she knew where her food came from. She saw that not everyone had that same connection to their food. She was inspired to be that connection for people along with her husband, Brett. Together they started Farm One Forty, a holistic, regenerative vegetable and livestock farm just outside of Saskatoon.

After hosting some dinner events on their farm they came up with the idea of opening a restaurant in Saskatoon. Arlie and Brett partnered with co-owners Lacey Sellinger (general manager and sommelier) and Scott Dicks (chef) to make this a reality. Located right in the heart of the Broadway District in Saskatoon, Odla, which means to farm, cultivate and grow in Swedish, focuses on crafting their menu around Saskatchewan-seasonal ingredients. The restaurant gets livestock from Farm One Forty and some vegetables but also sources ingredients from other farmers in the region. The menu changes as the seasons do and is inspired by what comes in each week or what has been preserved from harvest.
