Rating
0.0 stars

Around the world people have passed on games as part of their culture. Both children and adults played games in all Aboriginal nations, and because most relied on symbols, these games could be played among different nations who didn't speak the same language. Many of these games were played for entertainment, but they usually had a religious meaning or were used as learning tools. These games also were symbolic of the season; many of the games were specific for summer or winter.

How do Newton's Laws Affect Exercise?
Rating
0.0 stars

Newton's Laws of Motion, developed by Sir Isaac Newton in the late 1600s, provide a foundational understanding of how objects behave in motion. These laws have profound implications for exercise, as they govern how our bodies move, how we apply force, and how we generate power. Understanding these principles can help fitness enthusiasts, athletes, and trainers optimize their workouts for better results. In this guide, we’ll explore Newton’s three laws of motion and how they specifically apply to exercise and physical activity.

Mathematics 8 Unit 7: Data and Probability
Rating
0.0 stars

Students will examine and create various types of graphs that are used in data management: circle graphs, bar graphs, pictographs, line graphs, and double bar graphs. They will make informed decisions about which graph best represents a data set and will also learn how to justify that decision. In many cases, one type of graph is better than another when representing a data set, as it provides an informative image can impact how one might interpret the data. Students will differentiate between graphs that are accurate and graphs that are misleading. They will also learn to recognize false conclusions that misleading graphs try to represent. Evaluating the arguments of others enhances students’ understanding of statistics. This is particularly important since advertising, forecasting, and public policy are frequently based on data analysis. The media is full of representations of data to support statistical claims. These real-world examples can be used to stimulate discussion.

The Platonic Solids
Rating
0.0 stars

A platonic solid is a regular convex polyhedron. The term polyhedron means that it is a three-dimensional shape that has flat faces and straight edges. The term convex means that none of its internal angles is greater than one hundred and eighty degrees (180°). The term regular means that all of its faces are congruent regular polygons, i.e. the sides of all faces are of the same length, and the internal angles of all faces are of equal magnitude. Furthermore, in order to qualify as one of the platonic solids, the shape must have the same number of faces meeting at each vertex, and the dihedral angle between any two faces must be the same.
