This is a unit that can be personalized. The lessons match the Storybook (which teaches kids about the past relationships between the First Nations people and the Europeans) where you can insert your students' names. There is also a Resource Booklet to help students learn

The Science First Peoples Teacher Resource Guides for Grades 5-9 (2016) and Science First Peoples Teacher Resource Guide Secondary (2019) were developed by the First Nations Education Steering Committee and First Nations Schools Association.

These guides support educators integrating the rich body of First Peoples knowledge and perspectives into Science courses and other curricular areas.

Shattering the Silence is a Saskatchewan Project of Heart interactive ebook that uncovers the history of Indian residential schools in Saskatchewan.
Written in 2017 by the Faculty of Education at the University of Regina, this document discovers the reality of residential schools in Saskatchewan. It is a great resource for teachers, students and the community that covers many topics and all the residential schools in the province.

This ebook is part of Project of Heart, which is a commemorative project that facilitates student learning about residential schools. The project is an inquiry-based, collaborative, intergenerational, and artistic journey to examine the history and legacy of Indian residential schools in Canada, leading to the acknowledgment of the losses incurred by former students, their families and communities.

This lesson package contains (1) a lesson overview), (2) a detailed lesson description, and (3) student handouts. It covers the relationship of First Nations people to the land, the treaty promise, and reasons for treaty.

The Kindergarten to Grade 9 Treaty Education Learning Resource is designed for teachers to assist them in integrating the Treaty content and perspective with Saskatchewan’s curricula and is based on the inquiry method of teaching. It provides information about Treaties, First Nations people and the history of what is now known as Saskatchewan, as well as sample learning experiences, assessment ideas and suggested resource materials to support teachers in the development of their lessons.

First Nations, Métis and Inuit Perspectives in Curriculum - Alberta Education

The digital resource Walking Together: First Nations, Métis and Inuit Perspectives in Curriculum was designed to help teachers understand the holistic nature of First Nations, Métis and Inuit ways of knowing; to provide opportunity for Inuit, First Nations and Métis peoples to share their perspectives on topics important to them; and to demonstrate First Nations, Métis and Inuit perspectives in teaching and learning experiences.

This historical document on the Saskatchewan First Nations' contribution to Canada's freedom and democracy was published by the Saskatchewan First Nations Veterans’ Association. It outlines the history, contributions and stories of First Nations' peoples in the development of our country.

An eight minute YouTube video from the Ontario First Nations, Métis and Inuit Student Leadership Council. The video dispels stereotypical perceptions of Indigenous culture and the ways of being, knowing and belonging.

The University of Regina Press has made a number of excellent resources available online for open access. These resources, developed by Jean Okimâsis include a grammar guide, a workbook, and links to audio resources.
The resource include:

Jean Okimâsis and Arok Wolvengrey also wrote a fantastic resource “How to Spell it in Cree“, which you can download as a PDF. It lays out the rules of a standardized written Cree, but also does important work of addressing the criticisms of standardization. It challenges the notion that we can ever use English to ‘phonetically’ represent the Cree language, champions a specific orthography for Cree, and describes how standardization, rather than destroying or degrading the language, will help ensure Cree continues to survive.
