Exposure to asbestos has been linked to serious health problems for many years. To ensure protection against exposure to asbestos, both workers and employers must be aware of its properties, how it affects the body and what special precautions are required when asbestos is present at the work site. This video outlines the proper use of hearing protection and when hearing protection should be worn. This video was used in the farm safety unit for Field Crop 10 but could also be used in a Career Education classroom or PAA class.

WorkSafe Saskatchewan is a great resource to access general information about Worker's Rights in Saskatchewan. There are several graphics and videos available to use with students explain each right.

Canada-wide Health and Well-being Courses

Students explore valuable information that will support them throughout their lives. Modules cover topics like mental health and wellness, substance use, online safety, workplace safety, and more. Questions are age-sensitive and designed to align with social and emotional learning principles.

This video outlines the importance of using eye protection when working. It outlines the most common activities when eye injuries happen. This video would be helpful in a PAA class when learning about worker safety or in the farm safety sections of agriculture-related courses.

In this video, common types of PPE are tested to see how they can protect from projectiles, falling objects, and other possible hazards. This is an entertaining take on Personal Protective Equipment and how it protects people.
