Valuing the Aboriginal Learner: Seven Living Principles
This monograph explores the relationship between Aboriginal students’ self-esteem and educational attainment. The key questions that guide this discussion are: 1. What strategies currently work for Aboriginal students, and why are they so important for creating meaningful change? 2. What are the day-to-day implications for educators endeavouring to ensure Aboriginal student needs are met?
The seven principles explored in the resource are:

"The Responsive Teaching, Practice & Assessment in Early Learning Programs document has been created in response to a need expressed by educators for supporting and responding to the varying needs of children in early learning programs. This document is intended to:
• unify a variety of early learning documents available in Saskatchewan;
• provide a process to identify and respond to the diverse needs of children ages 3-6 in early learning programs;

The applet presents an angle (initially 90 deg) that the user can adjust by dragging the end points of the line segments forming the angle. As it changes it shows the angle measure and a message that indicate which type of angle it is. There a software 'detents' that make it easy capture exact angles such as 90 degrees and 180 degrees The message and angle measures can be turned off to facilitate classroom discussion.
