The 6 STEP PROCESS OF PBL is a Problem Solving Process that allows you to break down and organize the structure of a PBL Unit into six different stages: 1. Define the Problem, 2. Solution Criteria, 3. Solution Research, 4. Pick a Solution, 5. Create, Run, and Inspect Solution, and 6. Reflect on Solution.

The projects are organized by elementary, middle and high school.

Students examine consumer choices and fair trade in this excellent grade 7/8 project. Choices are available for I DO, WE DO and YOU DO.

Students in Grades 5/6 create novel studies that can then be done with Grades 1/2.

A brief description of how I organize and plan my cross curricular class for grade 3/4 that is a mix of science, social studies, art, and health. Could be done with any grade level.

This Grade 3/4 project include options for I DO, WE DO and YOU DO. Students will examine communities, cultures, traditions, art, etc.

These projects for grades 4-12 are designed to last 1-2 weeks.

The projects are cross-curricular and could be done via distance learning or in classrooms using technology.

How do I assign a course to my students?
To assign a course to your students, make a copy by clicking "Take With Your Own Group." You'll need to create a free Pathwright account so that you can tweak the course or add elements, and then invite your students to take the course.

Who can see my students' work?
The DL Hub is committed to protecting the privacy of student data. When a teacher makes a copy of a course they have created a private version of that course. Only the teacher and other students enrolled in the course will have access to the data. Use the slippery sidewalks as inspiration to try this practical activity! Students work collaboratively to design and build a non-slip boot tread that uses friction to prevent slipping on an incline.

All materials are listed and provided including assessment and supporting media.

Students experience the freedom of creating their very own country. They will consider basic information, create a flag, describe the culture, physical geography of their country. They will also create a map and share their learning in a way of their choice.

Students create a Stop Motion Animation to illustrate one of the six electrical safety tips taught.

Example PBL Student Action Plan Template. Students can fill this out to plan their project. The teacher may also complete this for students in an I DO situation. The students and teacher can do it together in a WE DO situation.

Options are provided for I DO, WE DO and YOU DO for this very well-planned Grade 7/8 project.

Project ideas are organized by Education Level, and the High School ideas are further organized by subject.

Students create a theme park for the novel “Where the Red Fern Grows" using Makerspace. OR Students create a comic book that describes all of the sequential plot elements of the story. OR Students create a test using Quizlet or Kahoot that explores all the story elements.

Student activities for Social and Emotional Learning and mental wellness. Each skill includes information, resources, materials needed and activities.
