This new website from Agriculture in the Classroom is a kid-friendly, engaging website that will bring the story of agriculture to life through highly interactive information, colourful illustrations, real-life photos, informative text, quizzes, teacher lessons and more! Students will discover the Past, Present, Evolution and Future of agriculture in Saskatchewan.

This comprehensive website contains a great deal of information and there are many curricular connections to grades 3 – 6 Science, Social Studies, and English Language Arts.

Among other things, the site offers:
- Simple Lessons - Depending on the sections your students study and activities undertaken, different outcomes may be met. There are several ‘grab and go’ activities for students, available in both pdf and word documents.
- Brain Buster Activities - These crossword puzzles, word searches, word scrambles, matching pages, and colouring pages are great when time is limited because they can be easily stopped and started! They will challenge students to problem-solve and test their knowledge.
- Quizzes - The quizzes here are generally the same quizzes as the students will find on the web pages. They are available for each section on this website so that students progress can be tracked if you wish!

Using an inquiry-based model for learning, this interactive resource will increase students’ understanding of food security and explore the opportunities that exist in the Saskatchewan agriculture industry for feeding our growing world. The resource features multiple components to enhance the learning experience for students, including a four-part video, an interactive SMART Board game, and classroom activities. Note: This resource can be used even if you don't have a SMART Board. Available in French (SMART board game only).

Through this activity students will learn about food security and some of the causes of food insecurity both globally and at home. Then students will explore how food fits into a household budget and explore how some real-world challenges can affect the budgets and food choices of families. Journey 2050 allows schools around the world to experience agriculture like it has never been taught before. As students explore world food sustainability, they make inquiry-based decisions to see the ripple effect on social, economic and environmental factors locally and globally. Agricultural experts and real farm families from Kenya, India and Canada guide students through a virtual farm simulation, avatar career game and geography scavenger hunt.

The #MyFoodChoice resource is an inquiry-based resource answering the overall question of "How can I make informed food choices?" This resources has videos, interactive student sheets, approved resources and more. It is aimed at grade 9-12 students in subjects such as science, food studies, English, agriculture, social studies, humanities to name a few.

My Food Story is designed to encourage elementary students to learn more about Saskatchewan agriculture and to explore their personal relationships with food. My Food Story consists of a lesson plan that guides students in an exploration of foods grown in Saskatchewan and laminated, washable place mats for students to draw on to share their personal food stories. Teachers receive a hard copy of the lesson plan and a place mat for each student. This resource can be used to help celebrate Agriculture Month, which is annually celebrated in Saskatchewan in October. This lesson focuses on the many professions within the Agriculture and Food sector. Students will gain an appreciation and knowledge of the multitude of professions that exist within the Agriculture and Food sectors, while also understanding the importance of everyday food production and sustainability to the global population. This mini unit plan is taken right from Ag in the classroom. Lesson plans and handouts are included. Topics discussed include, food waste, soil science, plant biology, and climate change.

Your Saskatchewan Seed Kit comes complete with 5 sets of 13 seed samples of Saskatchewan's most commonly grown crops and suggested activities to engage your students in learning about crop production in Saskatchewan. This storybook tells the story of two young children who decide to grow a garden. Along the way, they face many of the same issues in their garden that their parents face on the farm. Together the family experiences the wonders of growing food while learning about balancing the growing food with caring for the environment.

Tour a farm or processing facility from the comfort of your couch! FarmFood360° is a series of virtual farm and processing facility tours throughout Canada. Students can test their knowledge at the end of each tour.
