This is a cross curricular project revolving around the documentary The Social Dilemma. Students will write an essay and create an Action Plan to tackle the issues surrounding Social Media and it's pervasiveness in our lives. The outcomes covered are focused in Social 7, Health 7 and ELA 7. 

There is a paid and a free version of this tool. Teachers can sign up for free.

There are several options of pre-made lessons on this site (some are free and some cost money.) But you can also make your OWN. You can use existing PowerPoints to make presentations or lessons and add in video, quizzes, surveys, polls, etc. Kids can even draw their answers to questions.

In this lesson, students will have the opportunity to share their personal stories through the medium of art. Computer art is amazing because anyone can create something cool regardless of ability.

MediaSmarts and TELUS Wise have created a series of four short videos and accompanying resources called There’s No Excuse to help start the conversation around sexting and healthy relationships, and help youth understand that forwarding a sext can do a lot of harm.

Tinkercad is a free, easy-to-use app for 3D design, electronics, and coding. It's used by teachers, kids, hobbyists, and designers to imagine, design, and make anything!

They are provided code to get started, but are encouraged to add or change the code to make it their own.
