ROVER (Recommended Online Video Education Resources) is a video streaming service for Saskatchewan teachers and students in the PreK-12 education system. It is managed and maintained by the Saskatchewan Ministry of Education. ROVER is a video-on-demand service that provides teachers and students with the convenience of immediate access to streamed, educational videos that support curricula. ROVER videos are housed on a server located in a school or school division network so there are no bandwidth issues, resulting in better picture quality and continuous play of videos without pauses. The videos are intended for viewing on the streaming site and not for copying or downloading.
There are approximately 1,500 videos in ROVER’s combined English and French collections that can be accessed by teachers and students to enhance learning in the classroom.

The objective of this program is to help children, youth and their parents/guardians understand the importance of regular physical activity; their current physical activity behaviours; and strategies to help them engage in more physical activities. This knowledge can help increase the amount of physical activity children and youth engage in, value and enjoy, in ways that suit their personal beliefs and needs. In our unit on the human body, I incorporated a hands on lesson and the use of technology. The students were given different materials such as straws, balloons and large pop bottles and were asked to create a model of the respiratory system. All of the models turned out great! They were then given a sheet with different QR codes (see appendix). Each group member was in charge of exploring one or two of the QR codes and then report back to the group. Once they were finished I asked them to explain what they had learned. Our final part of this lesson was to do a reflection and post it on their blogs.
