But, he says, if we can recognize this danger, we might yet realize the possibility of improved life for everyone. Ian Goldin is director of the 21st Century School at Oxford. Through the school's program of research, collaboration and education, he's powering new, cross-disciplinary thinking about global problems from the near and far future. A quiz, thought provoking question, and links for further study are provided to create a lesson around the 7-minute video. Educators may use the platform to easily "Flip" or create their own lesson for use with their students of any age or level.

This is an American site that provides free personal finance curriculum and professional development to more than 30,000 middle and high school teachers reaching over 2 million students. Even though it is American, there are plenty of uses for this in Canada as well!

There is also an arcade full of games (button at the top middle of the screen)!

There is also a Math button at the top of the screen for math related lessons. E.g, unit price, compound interest

Three full course options are available for high school and one for middle school.

There is also current events under FINCAP Friday; as well as question of the day, unit review, podcasts, library and assessments.

I use this assignment whenever I teach Personal Finance. There is no better way to teach budgeting skills and the power of money than to have the students track and record their spending for five months. This is probably the most powerful activity that I have used in teaching this course.

Maintaining investment and earnings growth is the best way to keep up with inflation.
