When students create digitally, that doesn't mean they can't interact face to face. The digital gallery walk blends digital and face-to-face learning.
Here's how it works: 1. Students create a digital artifact of their learning. 2. When everyone is finished, students display their work on their screens. 3. Students stand up and leave their devices on their desks. 4. They circulate the room, stopping at their peers’ desks (and devices) to check out their work.
(This could be applied to professional learning as well)
It's that simple. Check out this post for more details!

Students can practice matching words to the correct definition, and donate rice at the same time.
For each correct answer, the United Nations World Food Programme donates 10 grains of rice to a country in need. How’s that for combining word learning with social goodness? When a student plays, there is a visual display of rice (see image) which is added to a bowl each time the student makes a correct response.
Free Rice includes subject area lists in Geography, Science, Math, and others. It is leveled so students can play at just the right level of challenge for them.

Classrooms are an ideal place to model and practice social and emotional (SEL) skills, and educational games are a perfect match for SEL. Learning games allow students to inhabit worlds and points-of-view and test out approaches to life in a safe environment where taking risks is encouraged.
The 27 SEL paid/free apps and games on this list will help students expand their worldviews, understand the needs of others, identify and reflect on their own feelings, and gain a more rounded view of themselves. Some are quick experiences focused on particular struggles or skills, while others are more in-depth and aimed at broader coverage of SEL competencies.
