Project Zero at Harvard’s Graduate School of Education has created a collection of Core Thinking Routines as part of their Visible Thinking Project. Teachers can view the entire collection on the Project Zero website (https://pz.harvard.edu/thinking-routines#CoreThinkingRoutines), where each routine is described in detail (e.g., purpose, application, launch) in both English and Spanish.

These routines encourage students to be intentional thinkers.

What do they know or notice?
What is their perspective or position on an issue or idea?
How can they support their position or thinking?
What do they wonder? What are they confused about?
How has their thinking changed? What caused that change?

The following is a collection of resources & project plans teachers made at the Future Design School Workshop.

This year, checking in on students frequently and consistently is even more critical to creating a safe and supportive learning environment.

Administrators and educators can these questions during a morning meeting, advisory period, small group intervention, or general class time to:

Check in on student well-being and supports
Do an interim SEL skills and competencies check
Gather classroom feedback to inform instruction
Identify the students who need extra help right now academically, socially, and emotionally

This is a cross curricular project revolving around the documentary The Social Dilemma. Students will write an essay and create an Action Plan to tackle the issues surrounding Social Media and it's pervasiveness in our lives. The outcomes covered are focused in Social 7, Health 7 and ELA 7.

TELUS Wise workshops and resources cover topics including protecting your online security, privacy, and reputation, rising above cyberbullying, and using technology responsibly.

This site offers a section called "TELUS Wise schools and teachers" that will help you in preparing your students for our digital world and future-proof today's youth by teaching important digital literacy and safety skills.

This app provides focused lessons designed to boost typing speed and accuracy very quickly. Students can see a heat map of where their fingers are hitting the keyboard to better understand where they can make improvements. The advanced levels will take them through tough tapping patterns, symbols, numbers, and complicated sentences.

This amazing toolbox organizes Thinking Routines into categories.

When you open a routine, go to the section for Resource Links to access an explanation/lesson on how to use this tool.

Tinkercad is a free, easy-to-use app for 3D design, electronics, and coding. It's used by teachers, kids, hobbyists, and designers to imagine, design, and make anything!

This site offers 700+ free typing activities for all ages means lots of typing learning here! You’ll find introductory games, touch typing, fluency, and timed tests. Also available for use on tablets.

Spread over 32 levels, this app supports kids as they learn basic keyboarding skills from an early age and improve their typing skills. They’ll work on identifying letters, numbers, and symbols as well as memorization. After successfully completing the final test, students will receive a typing certificate!
Available at App store, Mac app store, Google Play and Windows Store.

This complete touch typing application features a real-time analysis widget that tracks typing skills and creates tailored exercises based on performance. It’s highly adaptable, giving students a customized experience to maximize learning potential!

While this game might be a little too scary for some kids, older students who want to improve their typing skills might really enjoy it. To keep the ghosts in the background from creeping up, they’ll need to quickly type the words that appear on the screen! Adobe Flash Player required to play.
