Welcome!
More and more classrooms are using weblogs as a tool for sharing and reflecting on learning experiences. Some teachers use weblogs as a communication tool, posting regular updates about the classroom so that parents are kept informed about classroom activities. Others teachers invite students to use blogs as a way to publish final written products such as stories, and critiques. Blogs can also be used to share rough drafts, and first impressions, to chronicle an entire learning journey. There are many different ways to incorporate either a class blog, or individual student blogs, into your own classroom. (Blogs from Sun West)
Microsoft Teams is the most powerful tool we have in the Sun West School Division to collaborate, share files, keep track of assignments, from any device, anywhere online.
In this session we will take a quick look at some of the features in Teams as well as go through the setup of a Class Team.

In the meantime, use them to get inspired and give you some ideas to start PBL with your students."
Project ideas are organized by Education Level, and the High School ideas are further organized by subject.

"Social media influencers often make a plan when creating their content. Your students can show what they've learned by following the same content creation plan that their favorite influencers use! This template walks them through the steps -- and focuses on helping them show what they know from your class."
Note: This is the PLAN to make posts; students do not need to actually have access to these platforms to do this (and shouldn't without parental permission!)

Next Generation Learning is a government campaign initiated by Becta. We aim to use technology to create a more exciting, rewarding and successful experience for learners of all ages and abilities. This enables everyone to achieve their potential and achieve much more. The facts speak for themselves:
• 85% of secondary school learners believe that technology makes it easier to do homework.
• 85% of primary school learners believe that technology makes learning more interesting.
All of this is likely to mean improved GCSE grades and more children moving into higher education. Despite this, only one in four schools is currently using technology to its full potential. Help us to change that by Getting Involved.
This site contains lots of useful information about how technology is used in the classroom, and for studying at home and how to learn safely online.
