This YouTube channel is full of many supports for teaching Cree. It allows the learner to hear the language in context. The channel provides pronunciations and structures to help you move forward and learn on your own!

Epic Books is an online collection of over 40 000 titles of award-winning fiction, non-fiction, STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics), biographies, graphic novels, DIY (Do It Yourself) and more. Sign up as an educator and the account is free. Epic Books can be used by teachers and students for read-alouds, shared reading, and independent reading time. Read-to-me and audiobook functions allow for the listening portion of a balanced literacy program. Teachers can use these books as part of interactive small group instruction for specific skills or strategies. They can also assign certain books and tasks for practice to individuals or groups.

Free for teachers - you must set up the free account and add students to your classroom in order to get a class code to provide to families. Then when students have that code, they can log in from home with free access.

This resource was designed in collaboration with Nakota people from the Ocean Man, Pheasant Rump, and White Bear First Nations, and with storytelling by Shay McArthur, a Nakota speaker from White Bear First Nation. Designed for teachers of three-, four-, and five-year-old children, this activity opens with Nakota instructions for movement, gathering, and active listening.  An imbedded video of a Nakota story can be followed up with discussion questions (provided), and a related link.This is an ongoing project which received funding from the ESSP--Early Years Cultural Project.  More stories to come.

It offers a diverse selection of audiobooks, including fiction and educational content, along with video learning, podcasts, courses, and more. While it features some fiction, the site mainly focuses on educational materials and classics, making it less suitable for recent book recommendations or contemporary genre fiction.

Libby, by Overdrive is a books app that allows kids to browse and borrow ebooks and audiobooks from public libraries for free. Kids will need a library card to download or stream the books they want to borrow. The app connects users to their local library's ebook and audiobook collection. Users can link multiple library cards from different branches to access a wider collection. Kids can sample books before deciding to borrow them. If they're not immediately available, they can put titles on hold, and the activity tracker lets them track what they've read. Search for a specific title or explore different collections, including Kids, Teens, What's Popular?, and Subjects. Little kids can access picture books with read-along audio, making some books more accessible to early readers. Even though Libby, by Overdrive gives users access to a wide range of books, grown-ups can activate a juvenile or young adult filter in order to limit kids' access to the entire collection.
