This resource is all about FLIGHT! Lessons include: Dressing for Altitude, History of Flight, Parts of an Airplane, Principles of Flight, Structures and Materials, Propulsion, Future Flight, Careers in Aeronautics, and Airspace.
This is a great resource for multi-grade classrooms or for students who require adapted levels of materials. There are different lessons for different age groups on the same topics. (Generally, their lessons are levelled K-4, 5-8, 9-12.)

The scope of the site is such that subjects such as arts and music, English language arts, and biology are options along with -ology topics that one would expect to find in a site from National Geographic. The indexing of the site by grades, content types, and subjects allow easy searching through the website." (AASL)

Newsela provides high-interest, printable news articles from a wide range of subject areas. Teachers can adjust the reading level of news articles to meet the needs of students. Within each article, power words are identified. Students can click on these and see the definition in student-friendly language. Newsela also provides writing prompts and questions about the articles. You can sign up for free access to the end of the 2019-20 school year. Although the site is American, there are lots of applicable news stories that align with Saskatchewan curricula and context.

ROVER (Recommended Online Video Education Resources) is a video streaming service for Saskatchewan teachers and students in the PreK-12 education system. It is managed and maintained by the Saskatchewan Ministry of Education. ROVER is a video-on-demand service that provides teachers and students with the convenience of immediate access to streamed, educational videos that support curricula.

This site also offers all of the curriculum documents for all grade levels.

If you are unable to access the site, it may be because a Saskatchewan Ministry of Education Blackboard login is required. All students have an Edonline account, so contact your child's school or the Ministry of Education’s Support Desk at 1-866-933-8333 or email at stans@gov.sk.ca for login information. The Saskatchewan Aviation Museum exists to share the history of aviation in Saskatchewan & inspire visitors of all age. A place students and the general population can learn about Saskatchewan’s aviation history.

GRADE 6 - The museum offers a half-day and full-day programs for grade 6 students. Modules follow learning outcomes in the grade 6 science curriculum unit on flight. With the half-day program, grade 6 students participate in three sessions: flight theory, simulation flight and aircraft tour. With a full-day program, two additional sessions are added: aircraft restoration and a session on aviation communication.
