Self-Compassion for Educators - We need to care for ourselves before we can care for those around us!
This session is based on the work and book by Canadian author Lisa Baylis and participants will discover the 7C's of resilience (which go beyond candles and bubble baths) and will also explore a few mindful practices that can help us treat ourselves and therefore others with compassion and care.
Developed for third grade. Using simple math, students will figure out their lung capacity by breathing into a bottle filled with water and measuring the volume of water displaced.Biology In Elementary Schools is a Saint Michael's College student project. The teaching ideas on this page have been found, refined, and developed by students in a college-level course on the teaching of biology at the elementary level. Setting us up for the mechanisms that allow lymph movements we first have to look at how lymph moves through the lymphatic system. This video goes over the pathways that lymph takes: lymphatic capillaries, lymphatic vessels, lymph node, lymphatic trunk and collecting duct.
