The National Film Board of Canada's award-winning online Screening Room has over 3,000 productions.
Films on this site can be streamed free of charge, or downloaded for your personal use for a small fee. We also offer educational works on a subscription basis to schools and institutions.
Our Collection includes documentaries, animations, experimental films, fiction and interactive works. We showcase films that take a stand on issues of global importance that matter to Canadians—stories about the environment, human rights, international conflict, the arts and more.
"National Geographic is a trusted resource for all aspects of geographic education. This site has resources for grades K-higher education and the breadth of the resources available cover a wide variety of activities, interactive material, mapping (of course), and guides for instructors. The scope of the site is such that subjects such as arts and music, English language arts, and biology are options along with -ology topics that one would expect to find in a site from National Geographic. The indexing of the site by grades, content types, and subjects allow easy searching through the website." (AASL)
Newsela provides high-interest, printable news articles from a wide range of subject areas. Teachers can adjust the reading level of news articles to meet the needs of students. Within each article, power words are identified. Students can click on these and see the definition in student-friendly language. Newsela also provides writing prompts and questions about the articles. You can sign up for free access to the end of the 2019-20 school year. Although the site is American, there are lots of applicable news stories that align with Saskatchewan curricula and context.
North American Association for Outdoor Education offers a rich bank of resources to get students to interact with nature through art and science exploration. There are many cross-curricular activities that can be done in students’ backyards. Some resources include printable material, while others have links to videos and detailed activity guides. While this resource is North American, rather than specific to Canada or Saskatchewan, many of the activities align with Saskatchewan Curriculum.

ROVER (Recommended Online Video Education Resources) is a video streaming service for Saskatchewan teachers and students in the PreK-12 education system. It is managed and maintained by the Saskatchewan Ministry of Education. ROVER is a video-on-demand service that provides teachers and students with the convenience of immediate access to streamed, educational videos that support curricula.
This site also offers all of the curriculum documents for all grade levels.
If you are unable to access the site, it may be because a Saskatchewan Ministry of Education Blackboard login is required. All students have an Edonline account, so contact your child's school or the Ministry of Education’s Support Desk at 1-866-933-8333 or email at stans@gov.sk.ca for login information. Your child's student number will be required.

Lessons are available for all grades with a strong representation for Chemistry 30, Grade 4 Science, Career Education, Grade 7 Science & Social, Earth Science 30, Energy & Mines 10-30.
Reference materials include videos, links and industry reference materials.
Enthusiastic and knowledgeable interpreters offer a unique opportunity for active, experiential, land-based learning. Most programs can usually be adapted for any grade level, however, suggested grades are included. School programs include hands-on learning that complements the Saskatchewan curriculum and makes a lasting impression on children of all ages.
Bookings are accepted starting on Tuesday, January 3, until Tuesday, May 23, on a first-come, first-served basis. Program times vary by park. This information can be found in your booking form. Canoe and kayak programs are available at select parks and are typically available starting June 1, subject to park conditions.
School groups are not required to pay a program fee.
