ROVER (Recommended Online Video Education Resources) is a video streaming service for Saskatchewan teachers and students in the PreK-12 education system. It is managed and maintained by the Saskatchewan Ministry of Education. ROVER is a video-on-demand service that provides teachers and students with the convenience of immediate access to streamed, educational videos that support curricula. ROVER videos are housed on a server located in a school or school division network so there are no bandwidth issues, resulting in better picture quality and continuous play of videos without pauses. The videos are intended for viewing on the streaming site and not for copying or downloading.
There are approximately 1,500 videos in ROVER’s combined English and French collections that can be accessed by teachers and students to enhance learning in the classroom.
If you are unable to access the site, it may be because a Saskatchewan Ministry of Education Blackboard login is required. All students have an Edonline account, so contact your child's school or the Ministry of Education’s Support Desk at 1-866-933-8333 or email at stans@gov.sk.ca for login information. Your child's student number will be required.

Click NFB Education - click the black box near the top left of the screen to access all of the NFB's videos. If you are logged onto Blackborad, you have access to every single film in there and other teaching resources for FREE.
CBC Curio - click the red box that says Curio.ca near the top left of the screen. If your are logged in you will be able to see videos, collections and the news.
Safetycare - click the yellow box that says SAFETYCARE at the top of the screen. If you are logged in you will be able to view safety videos
Idello (TFO) - click the white and blue box that says Idello at the top of the screen. If you are logged in you will be able to access French content videos.

All the videos found on this site have been evaluated by educational professionals and recommended to support Saskatchewan’s K-12 curricula. It remains the responsibility of educators to preview and select materials that best meet the needs of their students, school, and community. Educators should choose resources in accordance with their school division’s learning resources selection policy.
ROVER is accessible from within Saskatchewan schools or school division offices without a login. Outside of school, it is possible to access ROVER using a login through a Blackboard account. Students can be motivated to improve classroom behaviors if they have both a clear roadmap of the teacher's behavioral expectations and incentives to work toward those behavioral goals. This modified version of Check-In/Check-Out (CI/CO) is a simple behavioral intervention package designed for use during a single 30- to 90-minute classroom period (Dart, Cook, Collins, Gresham & Chenier, 2012). The teacher checks in with the student to set behavioral goals at the start of the period, then checks out with the student at the close of the period to rate that student's conduct and award points or other incentives earned for attaining behavioral goal(s).

Read the Fine Print
The Color Wheel is one solution that enforces uniform group expectations for conduct while also responding flexibly to the differing behavioral demands of diverse learning activities. This classwide intervention divides all activities into 3 categories and links each category to a color: green for free time/ low-structure activities; yellow for large- or small-group instruction/independent work; and red for brief transitions between activities. The student learns a short list of behavioral rules for each category and, when given a color cue, can switch quickly from one set of rules to another.

Randall's ESL Cyber Listening Lab was founded by an English as a second language teacher (Randall). It has been designed to provide a narrow focus of easy-to-use activities. This is a lesson designed to teach Elementary students about Treaty 6.
The script has been divided into four scenes, each taking place at a different location. To help students make sense of the locations, here is an outline map of Canada with capital cities.
I have listed the readers in each scene to allow you the opportunity to include all class members in the Reader’s Theatre experience.
New words and locations are identified by an asterisk * to give teachers an opportunity to stop the reading to discuss the term.

The 4 recommendations outlined in the guide included:
