Inclusive Education, Indigenous Storytelling and Black History Month are observed during the month of February. Please explore the Indigenous Stories Collection to find resources including books, videos and lesson ideas and supports. The theme for Black History Month is Black Excellence: A Heritage to Celebrate; a Future to Build. Please visit our African-Canadian Black History Collection to find resources and ideas for your classroom.
French-Second-Language Education Week happens from February 5th to 9th with the theme: A Perfect Time to Celebrate the FSL Community. This is the perfect time to introduce the new Core French and French Immersion Hubs. These are currently under development, but many resources are already available. If you are interested in contributing to the French hubs please contact melissa.lander@saskdlc.ca.
Pink Shirt Day happens on February 28th this year. These Pink Shirt Day Resources include video lessons and learning modules from our partners at the NFB & Everfi, as well as other supports. A reminder that Curio also has playlists on the topic of bullying and these can be accessed using the Provincially Licensed Resources below.
