The Ready, Check, Go! Series is a physical activity tracker designed to help children and their parents/guardians understand the importance and enjoyment of incorporating regular daily physical activity in ways that suit their personal beliefs and needs.

The Ready, Check, Go! Series includes:
- Participant/Student Workbook to track physical activity (ages 9-11 and 12-14), and Leader/Teacher, and Parent Guides
- Activities to promote the importance of participating in regular physical activity
- Goal setting worksheets to help enhance physical activity behaviours
- Inclusive activities for children of all abilities

The objective of this program is to help children, youth and their parents/guardians understand the importance of regular physical activity; their current physical activity behaviours; and strategies to help them engage in more physical activities. This knowledge can help increase the amount of physical activity children and youth engage in, value and enjoy, in ways that suit their personal beliefs and needs. Specifically, the Ready, Check, Go! is a learning activity to help children aged 9-14 discover more about:
- How physically active they are on typical day;
- The different types of activities they undertake, when, and for how long;
- The intensity (moderate- to vigorous) of their physical activity;
- Identifying ways that they can be more active.

This resource includes a downloadable board game that allows students to explore exotic species—how they can impact natural areas and how our actions affect their control and spread.

Prior to playing the game, groups of students are provided with a ‘Backgrounder’ that explains the term exotic and introduces the important issues to consider. Each group develops a concept map based on their discussion that will contribute to a class map.

In playing the game students roll dice and move across the game board toward the Great Lakes. They earn points at various ‘stops’ by correctly answering questions related to invasive species. Game card questions provide information on a range of important aspects related to the introduction, impact and control of exotics. The goal is to collect the most points by the time all players have reached the finish line/square or time expires.

Also check out "Don't Stop for Hitchhikers", a supplementary activity where students simulate a lake ecosystem by taking on the role of its inhabitants. Students assume the identities of both native and non-native species to physically demonstrate what occurs to the habitat and its resources as exotic plants and animals are introduced into the environment. Through the use of props and a written script, students learn the means by which non-native species enter freshwater systems, how they negatively affect the environment and how they can be stopped. Rookie Rugby offers a wide array of resources and materials to help teachers, parents, and volunteers offer the newest Olympic sport in P.E. classes, After-School programs, and sport programs everywhere. Kids will love this fast-paced, fun activity they can play with their friends.

These check ins are a quick way to get your finger on the pulse of your classroom and respond accordingly! 

This mobile training program provides specialized critical care skill training to STARS crews and other emergency care providers. The first mobile program of its kind in North America, it features a human patient simulator which replicates complex medical and traumatic problems over and over again. It offers medical personnel the opportunity to test and practice their reactions and skills, leading to a high degree of familiarity and confidence.

The mannequin: speaks and breathes, blinks and has reactive pupils, has a heartbeat and a pulse
accurately mirrors human responses to such procedures as CPR, intravenous medication, intubation, ventilation and catheterization.

The mannequins have been installed in four motorhomes, creating large mobile emergency rooms. Additionally, STARS has a wireless mannequin that can be transported in a specially-modified SUV. This mannequin can be used in a variety of environments including hospital emergency rooms, classrooms, and mock accidents scenes.

STEAM education results in students who take thoughtful risks, engage in experiential learning, persist in problem-solving, embrace collaboration, and work through the creative process. These are the innovators, educators, leaders, and learners of the 21st century!

The Saskatchewan Aviation Museum exists to share the history of aviation in Saskatchewan & inspire visitors of all age. A place students and the general population can learn about Saskatchewan’s aviation history.

GRADE 6 - The museum offers a half-day and full-day programs for grade 6 students. Modules follow learning outcomes in the grade 6 science curriculum unit on flight. With the half-day program, grade 6 students participate in three sessions: flight theory, simulation flight and aircraft tour. With a full-day program, two additional sessions are added: aircraft restoration and a session on aviation communication.

Situated within the pond-rich Prairie Pothole Region, ducks hatched and raised in our province disperse throughout the entire continent and beyond. Working alongside agricultural producers, industry groups, governments, and the public, we strive to ensure wetland values are appreciated and accounted for, and support our partners in achieving a sustainable balance between conservation and development.

Enthusiastic and knowledgeable interpreters offer a unique opportunity for active, experiential, land-based learning. Most programs can usually be adapted for any grade level, however, suggested grades are included. School programs include hands-on learning that complements the Saskatchewan curriculum and makes a lasting impression on children of all ages.

Bookings are accepted starting on Tuesday, January 3, until Tuesday, May 23, on a first-come, first-served basis. Program times vary by park. This information can be found in your booking form. Canoe and kayak programs are available at select parks and are typically available starting June 1, subject to park conditions.

School groups are not required to pay a program fee.

This resource includes 14 interactive PowerPoint lessons designed to teach students about the Diversity of Living Things. The bundle is complete with discussion questions, videos, activities, and an exciting final Kahoot to help students to test their knowledge. Powerpoint lessons can be completed independently or synchronously.
