Embark on a celestial adventure as you delve into the intricate dance of planets, explore the profound implications of Kepler's Laws, and unravel the complex relationships between velocity, position, and orbital characteristics!
• Explore how the velocity and position of a planet affect its movement and orbit.
• Discover how Kepler’s Laws apply for different bodies in the solar system
• Describe the characteristics of an ellipse that support the understanding of planets’ orbits according to Kepler’s first law
• Visualize what is meant by “swept area of a planet’s orbit” and its relationship with equal time intervals in the context of Kepler’s second Law.
• Describe the behavior of the planet's velocity in different moments of its orbit
• Explore the relationship between the semi-major axis and the period of an orbit, and their corresponding powers described by the Kepler’s third Law

Today, we are going to start our discussion on user experience. We've talked a lot in this series about how computers move data around within the computer, but not so much about our role in the process. So today, we're going to look at our earliest form of interaction through keyboards. We'll talk about how the keyboard got its qwerty layout, and then we'll track its evolution in electronic typewriters, and eventually terminals with screens. We are going to focus specifically on text interaction through command line interfaces, and next week we'll take a look at graphics.

Students learn how crystallization and inhibition occur by examining calcium oxalate crystals with and without inhibitors that are capable of altering crystallization. Kidney stones are composed of calcium oxalate crystals, and engineers and doctors experiment with these crystals to determine how growth is affected when a potential drug is introduced. Students play the role of engineers by trying to determine which inhibitor would be the best for blocking crystallization.

This is a great resource for students to research animals and play games related to animal studies.
"While National Geographic Kids isn't well-organized for teachers, it is a fantastic resource for students to explore their interests and follow their curiosity. The site would be a great way to introduce the diversity of life on Earth: Encourage students to learn about new animals, watch the science and geography series, and explore the interactive world map. The Homework Help section can provide additional information for light research papers or projects. Teachers can search, themselves, for resources that match topics they're working on in the classroom.
Teachers of younger students will find this easy-to-use educational tool a great way to increase engagement and add extension activities for science and social studies lessons. Note: Though the site content is free, there are abundant links to subscribe to the National Geographic Kids and National Geographic Little Kids magazines." (Common Sense Media Review)
