Developed to offer young people the opportunity to learn and experience in the great outdoors, the SWF Conservation Camp has been an ongoing success for over 30 years.
At camp, boys and girls aged 12-14 are given hands-on learning in a wide range of outdoor activities including:
Archery, canoeing, air rifle shooting, trapping, wildlife identification, plant identification, survival skills, camp cooking, fisheries studies, map & compass, GPS use and so much more.
Although this is an American site, there are many resources for different ages including reading lists, guides, and activities.

Students investigate passive solar building design with a focus solely on heating. They use this information to design and build their own model houses, and test them for thermal gains and losses during a simulated day and night.
