Jusqu’à douze projets seront choisis dans le volet arts et compositions et seront inclus dans un livret artistique présentant leur œuvre et leur message. »
PROJETS
«Les élèves qui participent au volet projets sont invités à aller plus loin en soumettant un plan et un budget pour leur vision de la réconciliation dans leur communauté ou leur école. Les projets suivants sont envisagés : inviter des survivants, des aînés ou des gardiens du savoir à prendre la parole dans le cadre d’une série d’activités d’apprentissage; construire une installation artistique permanente représentant la réconciliation à l’école; ou encourager le bénévolat dans les communautés sur le thème de la réconciliation. Six projets du volet projets recevront 750 $, six recevront 1 000 $ et trois recevront 1 500 $. Ces projets seront également reconnus dans un livret artistique.»

«Douze projets du volet arts et compositions et du volet projets seront sélectionnés et honorés lors d’une cérémonie nationale. Les élèves responsables de ces projets auront la possibilité de participer à des exercices de formation au leadership en ligne. Les élèves dont les projets auront été sélectionnés dans le volet projets recevront une micro-subvention pour concrétiser leur vision de la réconciliation au pays.

"The Importance of Being Earnest" is a satirical play written by Oscar Wilde. It tells the story of two friends, Jack Worthing and Algernon Moncrieff, who create fictional personas to escape the constraints of Victorian society. Jack pretends to be his own brother, Ernest, in the city, while Algernon assumes the role of Jack's fictional brother Ernest, in the country. The play revolves around mistaken identities, witty dialogue, and social hypocrisy. As the plot unfolds, both men's deceptions unravel, leading to humorous and chaotic situations. Ultimately, the play mocks the superficiality of society and highlights the importance of honesty and sincerity.

Balancing act "c̓isḷa" comic activity. Students learn more about c̓isḷa—the act of looking after and taking care of something important. Students then create a comic that illustrates people taking care of and giving back to nature.

In this LIVE Arts installment Kevin and Nyle explore Indigenous stories and storytelling. Students write their own stories and use them as the basis for a visual artwork that combines text, image and color.
Why were bison essential to people living on the plains, prior to the time of Treaty negotiations (1870s)? What does the bison represent today? This LIVE Arts broadcast features contemporary artwork and storytelling by Métis artist Leah Marie Dorion, based on her children's book, "Métis Camp Circle: A Bison Culture Way of Life." Leah reads from the book, discusses the importance of bison (past and present), explains the use of Métis symbolism and discuss the composition and design of the illustrations. Leah guides students through a live drawing activity where they learn to draw and paint a bison as inspired by Leah's particular style of creating and imagery.
Biography
Leah Marie Dorion is an interdisciplinary Metis artist raised in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan. A teacher, painter, filmmaker and published writer, Leah views her Metis heritage as providing her with a unique bridge for knowledge between all people. Leah holds a Bachelor of Education, Bachelor of Arts, and Master of Arts degree. She has numerous creative projects to her credit, including academic papers for the Royal Commission of Aboriginal Peoples, books for children, gallery showings of her art works, and numerous video documentaries that showcase Metis culture and history. Leah’s paintings honour the spiritual strength of Aboriginal women and the sacred feminine. Leah believes that women play a key role in passing on vital knowledge for all of humanity which is deeply reflected in her artistic practice. She believes women are the first teachers to the next generation.

Media School is an introductory workshop on media production guided by filmmaker and mentor Paul Tom. Students will navigate through hundreds of videos and interactive activities related to the different stages of film production. They will acquire the tools to create their own digital stories, dynamic videos composed of photos, narration and music, using accessible equipment such as their smartphones and widely available software.
Short, digital lessons based on NFB films. Mini-lessons include 3 - 4 student activities, based on short film clips, with the option for students to 'go deeper'. Discover the selection of lessons that cover a diversity of topics, with new lessons being added monthly.
