Rating

Here are some fun activities that can be done in the Financial Literacy classroom as Ice Breakers to start the year: Tell Me What This Means - group project that students can work through together to figure out financial messages; Sure Fire Ice Breakers- a big variety; Would You Rather- fun way to start the year and get to know your students; Fin Lit Bingo- allows students to get to know each other; Truth About Millionaires- this could be a fun way to get the students discussing wealth, myths and open up the class with each other; Draw the Logos- students could have fun drawing these logos from memory. You could have a discussion about business, marketing and the influence of these companies on our shopping mindset (and how easily we recall their logo, which means we are more likely to buy their products)

GAP Infusion Poster

Teachers understand that there are many layers of content, outcomes, skills, and experiences that our students require throughout their educational journey to become competent 21st century learners. Teachers have must dos, such as curricular outcomes and assessment, but there are also many additional elements to provide enrichment to learning for students. All of these layers can become overwhelming if only considered from the perspective of teaching these elements in silos. GAP or Grade Alike Planning in Sun West has offered opportunities to teachers to reimagine these elements by infusing them together. The GAP Infusion Poster illustrates a visual of this philosophy where many elements are blended thoughtfully together to meet many learning outcomes, provide many opportunities, and give students' voice and choice in their learning by exploring their interests and learning needs.

This resource provides an overview of digital citizenship, and education associated with help students make informed decisions when they participate online. Our world is changing, and schools need to adapt to new realities of knowledge, society, and education. Technology has fundamentally changed our idea of community and the ways in which we interact with each other, so that building individual networks for learning and sup-port is more important than ever before. The Internet has also broken down many barriers of space and time, allowing us to rethink the way that we work and connect; we are no longer tied to only those in our immediate physical surroundings but instead now operate within more fluid and complex networks of people from around the globe thanks to social networks and mobile technologies. Online risks exist and students need to be equipped with the skills to safely and smartly navigate the onlne spaces that they are part of.

Guidelines to the Procurement Obligations of Domestic and International Trade Agreement
Rating
0.0 stars

"A document titled Guidelines to the Procurement Obligations of Domestic and International Trade Agreement has been developed to house basic procurement obligations in one place. It provides information about Saskatchewan’s procurement obligations under the following agreements:

"New West Partnership Trade Agreement between British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba; Canadian Free Trade Agreement between all Canadian provinces, territories and the federal government; Comprehensive and Economic Trade Agreement between Canada and the members of the European Union;
World Trade Organization Agreement on Government Procurement; and, Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership between Canada and ten other Pacific Rim countries.

This document is a guide and should not been taken as legal advice, nor should it replace the specific procurement obligations outlined in each agreement. Nonetheless, a procuring entity that follows the guidelines should be assured that its actions will generally meet the applicable obligations of the trade agreements.

You are encouraged to become familiar with these guidelines and review your procurement policies with this document in mind."
